Brow Aftercare
Because your appointment doesn't end when you leave the studio.
Your brow appointment is an investment in your results, and proper aftercare is what helps protect that investment. While your service creates beautiful, polished brows, your aftercare is what helps maintain them. It extends the longevity of your results, prevents premature fading, supports healthy brow hairs and skin, and keeps your brows looking their best between appointments.
That's why every brow service at Luxe Radiance includes complimentary, personalized aftercare tailored to your treatment. Your aftercare may include K18, a molecular hair repair treatment that helps strengthen and restore the integrity of the brow hairs, and organic, cold-pressed castor oil, a regenerative oil rich in nourishing fatty acids that helps replenish moisture, condition the hairs, support the skin's natural barrier, and promote healthy-looking brows. Every product is thoughtfully selected to help you achieve the healthiest, longest-lasting results possible.

THE PERFECT BROW
Your Perfect Brow treatment combines brow lamination, brow stain, and brow shaping to create beautifully lifted, defined, and polished brows. Because multiple services are performed during your appointment, following the recommended aftercare is essential for maximizing longevity, preserving your stain, supporting healthy brow hairs, and allowing the skin to recover comfortably.
First 24 Hours
Keep your brows completely dry. Avoid water, steam, saunas, hot showers, swimming, and excessive sweating to allow the brow hairs to fully set and the stain to fully develop.
Avoid touching, rubbing, scratching, or sleeping directly on your brows, as friction can disrupt the brow hairs and cause the skin stain to fade prematurely.
Avoid makeup, skincare, oils, cleansing balms, moisturizers, and sunscreen directly on the brow area.
Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliants, and other strong active skincare on or around the brows, as they can irritate freshly waxed skin, dry the brow hairs, and reduce the longevity of your results.
After 24 Hours
Cleanse the brow area gently using a gentle, oil-free cleanser and pat dry rather than rubbing.
Brush your brows into place daily with a clean spoolie to maintain their shape.
Continue avoiding excessive rubbing, scrubbing, or exfoliation directly over the brows.
Apply a small amount of the provided regenerative brow oil (castor oil) each evening. It acts as a deep conditioning treatment, helping replenish moisture, nourish the brow hairs, support the skin's natural barrier, and keep your brows soft, healthy, and hydrated between appointments.
K18 Repair Protocol
Days 1–3:
Apply a pea-sized amount of K18 once daily for 3 consecutive days after a warm shower or face wash. The warmth and steam help with absorption. Brush evenly through your brows and do not rinse.
Days 4–9:
If your brows feel and look healthy, apply K18 every other day for 3 additional applications, continuing to monitor the condition of your brow hairs.
Ongoing Maintenance
Once your brows are healthy and stable, reduce K18 to 1–2 applications per week as part of your regular brow care routine. The focus shifts from repair to long-term maintenance.
Continue applying your regenerative brow oil (castor oil provided) regularly to keep the brow hairs nourished, conditioned, and flexible.
Avoid prolonged use of harsh skincare products directly over the brows, including retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, and exfoliants, as these can shorten the longevity of both your brow stain and your overall results.
Brow Stain Longevity
The stain on your skin will gradually fade as your skin naturally renews itself, while the colour on the brow hairs can last up to 6 weeks.
Expected skin stain longevity:
✨ Dry skin: approximately 7–10 days
✨ Normal to combination skin: approximately 5–7 days
✨ Oily skin: approximately 2–5 days
Results vary depending on your skin type, skincare routine, lifestyle, and aftercare. The gentler you are with your brows, the longer your results are likely to last.
Normal Healing
It is normal to experience mild redness, warmth, or sensitivity immediately after your appointment due to the waxing portion of your service. This should gradually subside within a few hours to 48 hours.
BROW LAM
Keep your brows completely dry for the first 24 hours. Avoid sweating, steam, saunas, swimming, hot showers, and touching or rubbing your brows during this time.
After 48 hours, gently cleanse the brow area and brush your brows into place daily with a clean spoolie.
Days 1–3: Apply ½ pea-sized amount of K18 once daily for 3 consecutive days after a warm shower or face wash. The warmth and steam help with absorption. Brush evenly through your brows and do not rinse.
Days 4–9: If your brows feel and look healthy, apply K18 every other day for 3 more applications, continuing to monitor the condition of your brow hairs.
Apply a small amount of a regenerative oil (castor oil provided at appointment) every night to keep your brow hairs nourished, hydrated, and healthy. If you need to use brow gel during the day, you can apply a small amount of leave-in hair conditioner to help set the brows in place.
Ongoing maintenance: Once your brows are healthy and stable, reduce K18 to 1–2 applications per week as part of your regular brow care routine. The focus shifts from repair to long-term maintenance.
Avoid exfoliating the brow area or using harsh skincare products (such as retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or benzoyl peroxide) directly on your brows, as these can reduce the longevity of your results.
Brow stain enhances the colour of your natural brow hairs while creating a temporary stain on the skin for added definition. Proper aftercare helps maximize the longevity of your stain and keeps your brows looking fresh, defined, and even as long as possible.
HYBRID BROW STAIN
For the first 24 hours:
Keep your brows dry to allow the stain to fully develop and adhere to the skin and hairs.
Avoid steam, saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating, as excess moisture can cause the stain to fade more quickly.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or scrubbing your brows, as friction can lift pigment from the skin and reduce longevity.
Avoid makeup, skincare, oils, cleansing balms, and oil-based products directly on the brows, as some ingredients and repeated cleansing can break down the stain. Oils dissolve pigment and contribute to premature fading.
Do not use retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, or other exfoliating products on or around the brows, as they accelerate skin cell turnover and can cause the skin stain to fade faster.
After 24 hours, you can cleanse the area gently (using an oil-free gentle cleanser) and pat dry rather than rubbing to help preserve the stain.
Your skin stain will gradually fade as your skin naturally renews itself, while the colour on the brow hairs will last longer (up to 6 weeks). The longevity of the skin stain varies depending on your aftercare, but also skin type,:
✨ Dry skin: approximately 7–10 days
✨ Normal to combination skin: approximately 5–7 days
✨ Oily skin: approximately 2–5 days
Results may vary depending on your skincare routine, lifestyle, sun exposure, and how well you follow the recommended aftercare. The gentler you are with your brows, the longer your results are likely to last
BROW WAX
Your brow wax doesn't end when you leave the studio. Waxing removes unwanted hair while gently exfoliating the surface of the skin, making the area temporarily more sensitive. Proper aftercare helps calm the skin, reduce irritation, and maintain clean, defined brows.
For the first 24–48 hours:
Avoid touching, rubbing, or picking the waxed area to reduce irritation and minimize the risk of introducing bacteria into any potentially open follicles.
Avoid makeup directly over freshly waxed skin for at least a few hours, as the skin is more susceptible to irritation and clogged pores.
Avoid hot showers, steam, saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating for 24 hours, as heat and moisture can increase redness, sensitivity, and irritation.
Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzoyl peroxide, exfoliants, and other strong active skincare on or around the waxed area until the skin has fully recovered, as these ingredients can further irritate freshly exfoliated skin.
Cleanse gently with lukewarm water and pat dry to keep the area clean without causing unnecessary friction.
Apply a thin layer of a regenerative brow oil (castor oil provided) or Aquaphor if recommended by your brow artist. This helps replenish moisture, support the skin barrier, and keep both the skin and brow hairs conditioned as they recover.
Mild redness, warmth, or sensitivity immediately after your appointment is normal and should gradually subside within a few hours to 48 hours. If you experience persistent redness, significant swelling, blistering, or signs of infection, please contact your brow artist or seek medical advice.
For best maintenance, we recommend scheduling your next brow wax every 3–6 weeks, depending on your natural hair growth cycle.
